(Recorded on Sunday, February 10)
First to recap what we’ve learned so far…
The purpose of Christianity is for restoration, reconciliation, and relationships. This is expressed through confrontations with others for the purpose of enlightenment, not condemnation. In order to do this, we must first walk worthy of the calling (Ephesians 4:1). Our witness is so important.
We are the gift! We should not have jealousy over other people’s gifts as each gift is extremely important. If you’re not doing your part, the entire body of Christ suffers. Running from your calling will only make you miserable. When you embrace your gift, you will experience peace and blessing.
And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ
We are gifts to each other.
In Christ, we move from formation to transformation. We move from “mere existence” to “meaningful existence.” Our purpose is to build the Kingdom of God, not our own legacy.
